Policies

There are both big decisions and little details to attend to as you prepare for your upcoming catered  event. Let Carved + Crafted Catering guide you, from designing the perfect menu to personalizing all the culinary details of your event. Our catering services can accommodate any size, theme, or individual requirements, in virtually any location – on or off campus.

We will work with you to create a menu inspired by your unique needs and tastes that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. At Carved + Crafted Catering, we know that every event, whether it is a rehearsal dinner, corporate meeting, birthday, graduation, anniversary, or retirement party, is unique. Since you have entrusted us with your event, the food will be unmatched, the service spectacular, and the event will be unforgettable!

Minimums + Customized Service 

There is a 20 person minimum for all buffets or a $50 fee for all buffets under 20 people.

Policies + Procedures

To ensure optimal selection and the best possible service we kindly ask that events be booked at least 10  business days in advance. We understand events arise unexpectedly, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. 

Guest Counts

We kindly request a confirmed number of guests be specified 7 days prior to the event. This number is considered the guaranteed guest count.

Event Time

Events are billed in four-hour increments. Events exceeding the four-hour limit will be subject to additional service fees.

Cancellation

We kindly request that cancellations be made 5 business days prior to the contracted event date. Events not canceled before the 5 day limit may accrue charges.

Tastings

Tastings for events are available at a max of 5 people. A per plate charge will apply for each plate produced.

Water Setup

Pitchers of water or large dispensers are available for conferences, lectures and meetings on campus. The charge is $2.75 per gallon (approximately 12 servings).

Special Diets

Special diets are accommodated upon request. We kindly request that your needs be submitted as soon as possible, or by 7 days before your event at the latest.

Delivery Charge

There is a 7% delivery charge for events on ISU campus outside of the Pond Student Union, a 15% delivery charge for off campus events, + a 22% delivery charge for events outside of Pocatello/Chubbuck.

Calorie Counts

2000 calories a day is used for general nutrition advice, but calorie needs vary. Caloric and additional nutrition information available upon request.

Serviceware + China

All disposable serviceware will be furnished as accompaniment to all items purchased. Some exceptions apply to orders being picked up. We offer high quality or upgraded disposable plasticware for $1.25 per person. China and glassware are available for an additional charge of $2.50 per person. 

Linen

Tablecloths are supplied for all food and beverage service tables at events. Tablecloths for non food tables are available for an additional $4.50 (53”x114" or 85”x85”) or $0.50 (napkin), per table.

Pricing + Tax Exempt

All pricing is subject to change. We request tax-exempt forms be emailed to our office at catering@isu.edu 3 business days prior to the event.

Billing + Payment

A form of payment (Check or credit card) is kindly requested 3 business days prior to the event date. We ask that contracts be paid in full within 1 business day following the event.

Meeting Room + Equipment

Please reserve all non-food related equipment by contacting Scheduling + Events at 208-282-2297 or at SES@isu.edu. This will include room reservation, set and room configuration, audio visual, and other general information.

Safety

For the health and safety of our guests, it is our strict policy that all food must remain with the catering department at the end of the event for proper disposal. Unless specifically ordered and contracted as pick up, carry-out, or drop-off items, no food or related products may be removed from the service area, except by authorized representatives of the catering team. The catering team cannot provide containers for packaging leftover food. Our policy prohibits us from allowing guests to remove any remaining food or beverages. If food is removed from an event, Carved + Crafted Catering is not responsible or liable for the quality or safety of these items.

Weather

Ensuring the safety of our staff is our top priority. Therefore, we will be unable to provide catering services in cases where inclement weather obstructs safe access to the venue.
